Test, test. Hello, world? Abel here.
Welcome fellas. I’m Abel Mora.
I’ve got ADHD, a long history of working too hard, not smart, and starting now 2 businesses, a history of reinventing the wheel, and I’ve got too much humor for my own good. I’m still figuring out how to defeat imposter syndrome, I’ve got a good sense of self-awareness, and I’m based near LA, California USA in my humble city of Chino.
What else do you want to know about me?
I’m conversationally fluent in Chinese with a Beijing accent, thanks to my wife for inspiring me. I’m part Mexican part German. I spent years trying to focus on 1 thing only to realize having lots of side projects makes me ADHD absolutely unstoppable. I’m 26 as of this writing, with an August birthday. Some people tell me I’m 15+ years ahead of the typical 26 year old, but perhaps it’s because I missed half of life on the way here, the social part. I’m working on rebalancing that now. I play the trumpet, I’m learning swing dancing, I love hiking, reading, completing todo lists, golfing, pickleball, pingpong, cigars, whiskey, traveling (but NOT vacationing), Korean spas, ice baths, sauna, getting yolked in the gym, love my 6-12 eggs a day, steak, sun-tanning, rejecting common worldly ideas and exploring it on my own, love being Catholic (yes we’re Christians too), love God, love my wife, love the art of BUSINESS, and love my calling to guide my brothers and sisters to a better, more fulfilling & purposeful life.
Anyways, I hope this blog site will allow comments. If not, text me friend. My number is 626-263-6312. I need to hear from you to keep me inspired. I’m only human after all.
I’m sure we can all empathize with the severe procrastination that happens when you’re trying to make big moves happen, but one thing or another is stopping you from doing so. Mental roadblocks, things in our lives. It’s taken me 6 months to start this blog, so you’re witnessing Abel history right here. My first step. Careful because I can get kind of unstoppable once I start moving. I hope you will appreciate my sense of humor, my constantly evolving writing style, and my hard-earned business insights. Send tips, advice & love so I can repost them for clout! Haha.
I will do my part for you future loyal readers by constantly reading, growing, reflecting on my life, my mistakes and my victories. My internal battles. I am now putting together local meetups like board game or cigar & bonfire nights, meeting all kinds of new people to connect you guys with, running my podcast (the AbelMora Show) and bringing on awesome people to talk to, and just being real for the 1st time ever.
My biggest takeaway after all these months of slow, painful growth is this: do it YOUR way.
Yes, legendary Shia Labeouf’s “JUST DO IT” was wayyy more prescient than the meme we all just thought it was. I heard that guy went on a spiritual journey since then, including visiting monasteries & living with monks, by the way.
The thing that did NOT help me, however, was asking for everyone’s advice so I could do it perfect, only to have hundreds of bullet points of how to do it. That’s a guaranteed recipe for never starting.
In the past 6 months of 2024, I’ve launched my 1st podcast, I started recording random short videos and learning how to talk to a camera (including from my ice bath in the backyard), I attended my first dance lesson after 26 years of being deathly afraid of dancing, I started hosting meetups for whoever was daring enough to show up, and I took control of my direction against everyone’s advice, wants, and desires. Gotta live with yourself at the end of the day. No regrets homie.
Another tip for just making things happen: Ask yourself tough questions and audit your life. What other little things are stopping you from doing what you could be doing? Maybe it’s an addiction to dopamine activities like gaming or social dances too much, so you can’t focus. Maybe it’s too much reading, so you can’t break out of your head and conquer the real world. Maybe you’re just being a b****. LOOL! Be real with yourself or get a good friend to do so. The biggest act of brotherly love is to rebuke & improve your brothers.
Proverbs 29:1 – “He who is often rebuked, and hardens his neck, will suddenly be destroyed and that without remedy.” - If you stop listening to criticism, you will be doomed man. They knew this for thousands of years!
And remember, there’s a limit to the benefit of all good things, even reading or socializing. Harmonize it all to unlock yourself and make the big things happen. Get’er done.
Speaking of harmonizing things, morning & evening routines man. Remind me to write many blogs about those because they are game changers. You guys have the reins!
Well, you’ve reached the end of Blog #1! My style reveals my ADHD. Estilo de Abel. Make me famous guys. More fun tangents to come. Side points. Extra fun things. Just like you’d get by talking to me 1 on 1, but now I’m writing to all of you at the same time! Good stuff. I love this age we live in.
Dominate business & conquer life my friends. Join my tribe the Mastermind Circle if you happen to be feeling glorious. We’ll be waiting eagerly! ‘Till next time mate.
